Hello. My name is Marina Kushner. I am Jewish, I have very curly hair, and I will be turning 18 finally on Feb. 16. I was born in Los Angeles, CA, but mostly grew up here in Lincoln. Being raised in a very musical family with a musician for a dad, music is a gigantic part of my life. I play violin, guitar, really bad piano, and I sing. Writing and reading are also huge parts of my identity and are both something I do on a daily basis. Since attending Southeast, I’ve turned friends in Bel Canto and theatre into my family. I think the world takes art, in a general sense, for granted. Theatre, music, visual arts, languages, everything. It matters more to me than anything. I’m heading off into the real world after this school year and couldn’t be more excited to see what I have to offer the world. I’m friends with anyone and everyone, so be my friend and READ THE SCHOOL NEWSPAPER.
