Coming in first out of hundreds of kids in anything is tough, but in running, it is especially difficult. But that’s what the Southeast Cross Country team did in the 2014 City competition. The LSE boys came in first out of all teams and had five boys place in the top ten.
Southeast is well on their way to achieving their season goal of winning state. With the boys proving they are the best in the city, they have surpassed all Lincoln teams including the classic LSE rival – LSW.
Beating Lincoln Southwest was another goal of the team, which they have officially achieved.
State cross country takes place October 24th and Southeast already has a leg up over all Lincoln teams. It will be interesting to see if they meet their season goal by winning state
They’ve got a city championship, team commitment, and a school of 2000 kids to get them to the winner’s podium at 2014 state.
