Every Tuesday evening, LSE’s Special Olympics Bowling Teams meets after school to practice for the upcoming games.
The Special Olympics is an organization in Omaha, Nebraska, for kids with disabilities to have the chance to compete in sports and get active.
This program helps the kids build their confidence and bring out their true potential in life.
Southeast Special Education teacher Susan Hill started selling the bracelets to raise money for the equipment and tools they need to properly participate in sports for the Special Olympics.
The bracelets are selling for $2. The wristbands are yellow with black letters that read: “Southeast Knights”. With each $2 bracelet sold, the Southeast Special Olympics Bowling Team gets that much closer to reaching their goal.
This organization gives disabled kids the opportunity to make friends, get active, and most importantly, have fun.
Help support the Special Olympics by purchasing a bracelet today! Bracelets can be purchased from Mrs. Hurt in room D114.
