As winter sports come to a close, all the “soon too be” spring athletes start piling onto the track and crowding into the weight rooms. Spring training has started and Coach Moravec is welcoming the new batch of athletic hopefuls with a day known as “Power Day”. This day is for any athlete who wants to be involved in track who wants to get stronger, be faster or just more fit.
Moravec, an LSE Sprinter coach who also leads spring training, said the day is composed of athletes learning to “work on explosive power.”
“This is to help kids jump higher and run faster,” Moravec said. As the season starts it will really make a difference on all of the athletes who have done the conditioning for them to be the best they can be.
