The Lincoln Southeast Marching Band is beginning what appears to be yet another successful season. They’ve managed to get their entire marching show on the field in time for the game at Seacrest today.
Alexa Thompson (11) is one of the new drum majors in the marching band this season, but has been marching since her freshman year.
“I am very pleased with how the show has come together,” said Thompson. “The music is really cool and there are some awesome sets this year! I love watching the band improve the quality of the sets each day.”
Despite how well it’s coming along, the band will still have to work hard on their first full public performance tonight.
“I believe if everyone puts their heart into the performance and gives it their all, it will go well. Of course everyone will have to work together and watch the drum majors and each other to pull it off, but I think we are capable of making it happen,” said Thompson.
Anna Wade (11), a returning drum major, reflects on how the freshmen this year have affected the group.
“Each of them has a unique personality that brings a lot to our band, I can’t wait to see them grow even more next year.”
Wade also encouraged students to watch the band’s performances.
“We are in the community, at competitions, at football, volleyball, and basketball games all the time. We love making music and sharing it with others!”
