LSE Marching Band plays at every game, pep rally and wherever else they’re needed. They take time out of their schedules to play music for all of our students and parents to enjoy and also go to competitions to show off the immense amount of talent at our school. This takes a lot of time to do and the Southeast marching band deserves all of our appreciation.
The Marching Band Banquet took place on November 3, 2016. The banquet recognized all of the members of Marching Band for their hard work during the season. The Band Geek Mafia – student leaders of Marching Band – came up with the awards for the banquet.
The awards were meant to be humorous, not serious. Mr. Meteer received the “Most Savage” award, Hannah and Haley Wooge were given the “Two Peas in a Pod” award and the “Best Senior” award went to Chris Morse.
The All-Band Banquet, which is held in May, is when the students receive their letters, pins and more serious awards for their hard work.
After awards, the students of Marching Band went to the auditorium to watch the season video and thank the parents and sponsors for all of the work they did over the season.
