Freshman Alexis Harpster prides herself in being able to read a 500 page novel in a single day. Her passion for reading has helped her realize that she wants to inspire students as an English teacher when she’s older.
“[To my students I would say] don’t be afraid to tell me anything. If you need help, come and tell me. I’m a person that you can trust, not a teacher that if you tell me something I’ll go tell all the other teachers about it. You can trust me with anything. I’d give them advice on what to do if they were ever in a bad situation.”
