Kyle Diaz, an outgoing senior, is looking forward to his future at the University of Omaha. He is very excited and proud of the moment he got accepted. “I’m going to be the first one in the family to go to a university,” said Diaz. His mom is especially proud of him for that achievement.
He hopes to get more involved during college and find a passion that can grow into a career. For the future he has many hopes, which include “a successful career, helping my family out, and really finding something that I love to do.”
Although he doesn’t know what he wants to major in, he has a passion for learning about different cultures and is in Multicultural Literature right now.
“Eventually I hope to travel to other places,” said Diaz. “To see even more backgrounds and cultures.” He also hopes to learn more about his own background in the future.
His self-proclaimed ‘cheesy’, but genuine advice for others is, “Just go for it, any opportunity that comes just go for it.” He thinks being ambitious is a goal everyone should aim for, including himself. Throughout life, he has taken opportunities given to him and is excited for what else life has to offer.
