On Tuesday from 5:45 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., the LSE Student Council hosted its first Trivia Night in the Southeast Commons. Participants were allowed to compete in teams of five to eight at the cost of $10 per team. All of the proceeds from the event went to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. “This is actually the first year of it happening,” said LSE Student Council member Max Draus (10). “Student Council’s been kicking around the idea for a while, but this is the first year of us actually following through with it.”

Although Trivia Night was a nonprofit event for the school, there were still prizes for the winning team. “The winning team gets an assortment, there’s just different gift cards to places and small little prizes,” said Draus.

Students and parents both had the opportunity to sign up for Trivia Night, but by different means.  “For sign-up, we had our table open at lunch all of last week and Monday, and we also tried to include parents so we had a Google form on the Southeast homepage, and we actually got some parent teams, which is kind of exciting,” said Draus.

Overall, the event seemed to be a success, and if Trivia Night comes back next year and you’d like to participate, look out for the Student Council tables at lunch, as well as any posters hung up around the school to promote the event.
