It’s safe to say that the Juniors and Seniors of Lincoln Southeast High School showed up to prom in style. One common trend among girls in attendance were jewel toned, sleeveless, fit and flare dresses with corset illusion bodices in satin. Another popular category of dresses were pastel A-line gowns, usually made with lighter fabrics such as tulle and chiffon, with cap sleeves, florals, and lots of ruffled tiers. However, everybody went with a mainstream aesthetic. Senior Mady Costello notably went for a red and gold regal look, topping her dazzling ball gown off with a matching gold tiara.
The boys varied less in diverse style, most of them wearing either black or grey tuxedos. Even if most of their outfits looked similar, they set themselves apart by having contrasting lapels, pastel ties, and even cowboy hats. Just like the girls, some boys did stick out. Some wore all black, and others with bedazzled dress shirts or brocade blazers. Best of all was a student wearing dress clothes on top and knee length jorts on bottom, bringing his own twist to formal attire.
The students of LSE memorialized their impeccable prom fashion with digital cameras, many being spotted in the crowd in place of smartphones. In addition to this, Mina Jan and Kristina Gevorkova, writers for The Clarion, arrived and acted as paparazzi for students.
