Freshman Barrett France prides himself on working hard and never giving up. He tries to give 100 percent all the time and puts this to practice in not only school, but sports as well.

“I’m not the most naturally gifted, athletic person. I just try to go hard on everything and I [have] become a lot better in the last two years.”

His hard work is already proving to be beneficial in both his football and basketball careers. France’s AAU basketball team earned third place at a midwest national tournament and France was a captain for the freshman football team.

“I’d like to be known as a leader and always try to do what’s right, even if it’s hard and [also be known as] the person who gives 100 percent effort in everything they do.”

France has learned how to balance and effectively time-manage all of the important things in his life – school, basketball, football, his friends, and his Christian faith – which he thinks is a very vital thing that everyone should learn.
