Southeast was predicted to win the game against Fremont, and did – with confidence.
Many of the players on the team fashionably showed up to school Tuesday morning to promote and get pumped up for their game later that evening. These well-dressed girls have shown constant communication and positive attitudes throughout their school days, which has really helped the team succeed on and off the court.
Although Fremont is not a huge rival, a few of the girls were excited to play against a former Southeast athlete, Jess Sheppard. Sheppard played basketball her Freshman and Sophomore year before transferring to Fremont and decided to try out something new her Senior year – volleyball. Playing against this old friend and teammate made the game a more memorable and interesting for the girls.
Southeast defeated Fremont in the third match, which will help further advance the team in the season ahead.
