“Acting is my hobby,” said Taylor Griffith, an LSE junior who is majorly involved in theater.
Griffith auditioned for the Southeast’s fall play – “The Diviners” – and received the part she wanted.
“Even if I didn’t make it, I knew I would be involved in some way like tech, crew, or hair and makeup,” said Griffith. A lot of students auditioned for “The Diviners”, but since the play has a small cast, there were a few disappointments.
She started acting at the age of seven at the Lincoln Community Playhouse, but she didn’t always act. She stopped for a while and did competitive cheer. After she lost interest in cheer, she came back to her true passion – acting. She has been involved with theater since her freshman year and enjoys every minute of it.
“I love acting so much because of the family you have in theater,” said Griffith, “And to be involved in something you can learn so much from.”
You can catch the Fall Play “The Diviners” October 9-12. Check the LSE website for more information and times.
